Sidney and Joe Navis
"We're in it together now." (2007)

Sidney Navis, 83, a retiree born and raised in St. Bernard Parish, lost his wife of 57 years to Hurricane Katrina. His son Joe is a single father of two grown children who both relocated after the flood.

With their family scattered, Sidney and Joe returned home together. Two years later, they keep one another motivated to rebuild their lives as volunteers rebuild the home that they will share.
